Instructions
- Remove the tough middle rib of the kale leaves by folding the leaf in half and paring with a knife. Discard ribs.
- Slice kale leaves into thin strips and then slice again till they are bite size pieces. Put in large bowl.
- Combine the lemon juice, salt and pepper and pour over kale. Mix carefully with two spoons to ensure all leaves are coated.
- Refrigerate for at least 3 hours to allow tough fibers to break down. Remove salad from refrigerator 30 minutes before serving to bring to room temperature.
- Add almond slivers and enjoy!
