Instructions
- Peel and chop the turnip into cubes. Dice the onion. Slice the scallions on the diagonal.
- In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the bacon strips until almost crispy.
- Remove bacon from skillet and set aside. Leave the bacon grease in the pan.
- Add the turnips and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally to ensure equal browning on all sides.
- Add the butter and the diced onion. Cook for a few more minutes until onion is soft. add the butter and the turnip cubes.
- Add the bacon back into the skillet and cook until crispy. Break up the bacon into small pieces.
- Add the spices and cook 1-2 more minutes.
- Remove from heat and garnish with scallions.
