Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a cooking pot, and saute the onion and tomato.
  2. Once the onion softens, add the pork slices. Add salt, pepper, garlic, and onion powder and mix together. Sauté for 3 to 4 minutes, or until pork is browned.
  3. Pour ½ cup chicken broth or water. Let boil. Continue to cook until the liquid evaporates (this will help tenderize the pork).
  4. Add the sliced chayote, and saute for about 3 minutes.
  5. Pour the remaining broth or water. Continue to cook until the liquid reduces based on your preference.
  6. Add salt and ground black pepper to taste. Transfer to a serving plate and serve!
