  • 16 oz Hot Jimmy Dean sausage
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • ¾ cup shredded parmesan (divideed)
  • 1 tablespoon dried onion flakes
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 dashes Tabasco sauce (adjust depending on your heat preference!)
  • 24 oz fresh button mushrooms (1 large package + 1 small package; or 3 smalls packages)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Wash and scrub mushrooms; remove and discard stems; set aside.
  3. Cook sausage on medium heat until browned and no longer pink; drain excess grease and set aside.
  4. While sausage cooks mix cream cheese, ½ cup parmesan, dried onion flakes, Worcestershire, and Tabasco until well combined.
  5. Add sausage to cream cheese mixture and mix well .
  6. Generously spoon and firmly press a scoop (approx 2 Tbsp) of sausage and cream cheese mixture into each mushroom cap.
  7. Line stuffed mushrooms, stuffing side up, on a large, rimmed baking sheet.
  8. Sprinkle mushrooms with ¼ cup shredded parmesan.
  9. Bake at 350 F for approximately 20-25 min or until tops are lightly browned.
