- Drain and rinse tofu before slicing into 6 pieces.
- Press the tofu slices in between paper towels on a cutting board in order to remove extra moisture.
- Combine miso, water, and ginger in a small bowl.
- Heat some canola oil on a skillet.
- Fry tofu until golden on both sides.
- Turn down the heat to low.
- Pour miso mixture over the tofu slices, making sure to evenly coat them.
- Continue to fry until the tofu begins to sizzle.
- Garnish with scallions and sesame seeds prior to serving, if desired.
