How much protein should you eat on a ketogenic diet?

A well-formulated ketogenic diet is moderate in protein and should provide something in the range of 10-15% of daily energy needs as protein to maintain critical structures and functions of the body. Most healthy humans maintain lean body mass and function during a ketogenic diet providing between 1.2 and 1.75 grams of protein per kg of ‘reference body weight.’
